In 1998, a new golf course community was developed in Metrowest, Orlando, Fl. A young professional couple, rising career and a strong love of their lives together, transplanted from the Northwest U.S. As ensuing years came, an ongoing transformation made the “perfect location” become their “own” dream-home… adorned with visions of their favorite places they have traveled around the world together. We set out with an architect and designer to make this vision become a beautiful Mediterranean makeover. We formulated a plan and selected features & finishes from the Pacific Islands, the Tuscan borders of Italy and even Singapore to achieve their own “Old World” theme. The features of the Master Wing Makeover include: a see-through gas fireplace from master to parlor with fabulous period stone mantels. The master side extends to the ceiling with an art niche which frames a portrait of the couple. It also has state of the art LED lighting. There is a pair of groin vault ceilings adorned with beautiful crystal chandeliers.
There are beautiful stone columns and stone casings at the archways. In the bath area it has a tri-blend of glass & marble which is displayed on a decorative wall mosaic next to the free-standing tub. The master bedroom features a dome ceiling with walnut beams that have been handcrafted in our shop. The floor mirrors the coffered ceiling with walnut & marble inlays. The cabinetry displays a distressed credenza stained masterfully with valances on the opposing walls. The bath windows have Baroque glass and cameing patterns consistent with the Old World Baroque period. Other details include a full closet from floor to ceiling with walnut floors. A fossiled Ammonite credenza top w/LED uplighting displays the geological masterpiece grown from the Paleozor Era. Wow! The diva station has a two-way mirror with a 20″ television monitor.
